Lincoln Police Union endorses Roy Christensen’s bid for re-election

Lincoln – Today the Lincoln Police Union endorsed Roy Christensen in his re-election bid to the Lincoln City Council.

“During my four years on the City Council I have made public safety a priority and I’ve fought to put more police officers on Lincoln streets and in our neighborhoods. I’m extremely grateful to receive the endorsement of the Lincoln Police Union and their members who work every day to keep our neighborhoods and our families safe” said Christensen, who was elected to an at-large seat on the council in 2013. “As Lincoln’s population has grown, the number of police has not kept up. I fought to add four police officers during the last budget cycle and if re-elected I’ll continue to advocate for more police.”

“Roy is a current City Councilman and is a proven leader. He has worked with the Lincoln Police Union on a number of topics and is working to improve public safety in Lincoln,” said the Lincoln Police Union in their release. They continued, “If you have any concerns about public safety and keeping Lincoln a safe place to raise your family vote for Roy Christensen for City Council”

The 2017 city primary election is April 4, and the city general election is May 2.
